Songs Galore in Music!

This week in K-1 Music we started vocal warmups and sang action songs. Grades 2-4 started singing folk songs, including "Skating Away," "Alabama Gal," and "The Noble Duke of York." Students enjoyed patting or marching to the pulse of the song, while singing and clapping the rhythm of the melody. Pictured here is a group of 3rd graders who are marching, clapping, and singing a round of "Alabama Gal." We also started more traditional songs such as "America the Beautiful" and "This Land is Your Land."
