4th Grade Music- Knights vs. Damsels in "Round of the Round Table"

4th graders have been hard at work
on their musical selection, "Joust!"
In song 4, as the Knights are getting used to the idea of using a 'boomwhacker' instead of a sword, they begin to sing while marching in a circle (pictured left). Pictured right, a double circle is then formed which marches the opposite direction, while the Damsels walk in to steal the show, and give the Knights a hard time while they're at it!

Kindergarten in Spanish

Kindergarten students started learning Classroom Objects Vocabulary in Spanish and worked on making their own mini-books with the Classroom Vocabulary in it.

Second Grade Spanish - Body Parts Projects

Second graders began working on a "Monstruo" Project this week. They had to design their own monster, name it using "Me llamo...(My name is)", and describe how many body parts it has in Spanish, using "Yo tengo... (I have)". For example, if their monster has two heads, the student would write Yo tengo dos cabezas. It has been great to see their creativity come out in designing their monstruos!

K Music- A Mighty Bell Trio!

Kindergarten is hard at work on their musical, "The Little Red Hen." Here, the group takes a quick break from their songs, and plays a short jam on the bells.

CHA PE: Lacrosse

Third Graders enjoyed learning how to play lacrosse in PE. Students worked on proper handling of the lacrosse stick and proper throwing and catching techniques.

Papier Mache Fun!!!

This week at Art, 4th and Middle School studnets have been working on their Superhero sculptures. We made wire armatures. Rolled and/or crumpled newspaper is added with tape to fatten up all the parts of the armature. Once desired form is achieved we put at least 2 layers of Papier Mache. Next week we are ready to paint these Awesome sculptures.
Fourth graders finished up their Diamante Poems that described what they are like in general, sometimes like, and not like using the adjectives from this unit. They decorated their Diamante Poem poster in a way that described them. They also had a quiz this week on the adjectives from Chapter 1B in the Realidades Book.
Once they finished their Diamante Poem Project, they were able to choose a character/person and say what their name was in Spanish and describe them using the adjectives. Samples of their characters/people can be found below.

First Grade in Spanish - Farm Animals

First grade students have been working on Farm Animal Puppets in Spanish class. Once they finished their puppets, they needed to tell what their favorite Farm Animal is and then draw a picture of it. They have also been reviewing the Farm Animals through the fun game of Memoria!

Mrs. Douglas' class had a great time playing a review game of the Farm Animals on the Interactive White Board!
