Coding with Scratch Cat

Week 2 of coding in 2nd Grade. This week the students were introduced to Scratch. Scratch is a programming language out of MIT that "makes it easy to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art. As young people create and share Scratch projects, they learn important mathematical and computational ideas, while also learning to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively." This week the students started with the online beta version which you can find a link to here http://mrsmorlidge.com/Technology.htm. Hopefully it is going to be a lovely, sunny Spring Break wherever you are; but if it isn't this is something you could have hours of fun with
 at home!
